Getting to Ironbridge

The most convenient airport to get to Ironbridge is  'BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL, UK'

If arriving at 'Birmingham International Airport' : Take the National Rail Train to 'Telford Central Station' (1 hr journey) (Purchase a Saver Return for 11.40 uk pounds). From there get a taxi into Ironbridge. ($10)

If arriving at London 'Gatwick' Take the  Gatwick Express  to London Victoria. Use the London Underground  to get around London.  From London Euston Station take National Rail  train to 'Telford Central Station' (3 hr journey)  (You can purchase a ticket on the same day that you travel or book online, purchase a  'Saver Return'  for an 'Open Return' ticket cost 45 uk pounds, you can return whenever).  From Telford Central take a taxi into Ironbridge. ($10)

If arriving at London 'Heathrow': Use the  Heathrow Express if going into Central London. If going straight up to Ironbridge take the  National Rail  to 'Watford Junction' change at 'Birmingham New Street' to Telford Central. (4 hr journey)  (You can purchase a ticket on the same day that you travel or book online, purchase a  'Saver Return'  for an 'Open return' Ticket cost 50 uk pounds, you can return whenever). From 'Telford Central' take a taxi into Ironbridge. ($10)

Upon Arrival

Upon Arrival in Ironbridge please check in at the ICCCIA INFO point which is located in the Ironbridge Gorge Museums Building behind the Museum of Iron. It is on the on the right hand side of the courtyard in front of Enginuity Museum. Go through the large green doors into the Covered bays area and you will find us there. Here you can pick up your delegate badges and other materials, as well as purchase meals, t-shirts, etc. The ICCCIA Reception Desk will be available throughout the conference as an information point.

If you are Volunteering to help and arrive in Ironbridge earlier than Weds please go to the same point on Monday 3rd April at 10am, Thankyou.

Registration begins on Weds 5th April 2006 at 1pm -5pm.

5.30pm      Board Coaches to Blists Hill Victorian Town.

(If you arrive after 5.30 on Weds we will all be at the Blists Hill Victorian Town til 10pm, please join us there. Thurs Conference activities begin at 9am at Engine Shop and Ironbridge Gorge Museums Building)
